Best Sneakers Releasing This Week
Updated on •Published
The final week of April and the first days of May are packed with high-heat releases, including some of the most anticipated sneakers of the year.
Kicking off the week is Andrew Reynolds’ first signature sneaker release with New Balance Numeric, the 933, launching in two colorways, Black Olive and Wheat. Alongside this, adidas is dropping some new shoes ahead of the upcoming F1 Miami Grand Prix: the adidas Barreda Decode and adidas Adilette Comfort Slide.
Next up on the 29th is a new drop of the women’s-focused Nike Air Superfly, coming in a Cyber rendition that pairs silver hues with bright volt green hues. The Simpsons make an appearance in this week’s footwear releases as Crocs teams up with the storied animated series on the Classic Clog, one honoring the intro sequence and the other for Krusty Burger. Rick Owens and Converse are back at it, this time converting the avant-garde DRKSHDW TURBOWPN into a low-top.
One of the major highlights this week also takes place on Tuesday with adidas’ latest super shoe performance runner — the adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 2. The model retails for $500 and will launch in ultra-limited quantities. Over in Japan, the city of Tokyo is getting its own Nike Dunk Low.
Moving on to Wednesday, two of the most anticipated sneakers of the year are hitting shelves — the Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack TR Bright Cactus and the Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 Honey Blacks. Both pairs already saw an early release, but they’ll have their proper rollout on this date. Another collab is on the books for the 30th as District Vision and New Balance are dropping two Minimus MT10 colorways. Finally, Salehe Bembury and Nina Chanel Abney have prepped a Crocs Pollex Clog under the Art Friends Thumbs Up Good Job series.
May begins with some high-heat drops, including the Nike Kobe 9 Low EM Mambacita, the Nike Air Max 95 OG Pink Foam (W), the Justin Timberlake x Nike Victory Tour 4 Made in Italy, and a collection of collab sneakers from Angel Reese and Reebok. Finally, the week concludes with new drops from Nike, including the CSEF x Nike SB Dunk Low, and Jordan Brand with the Jordan 4 Forget Me Not.
