3D printing may have seemed like a gimmick in the mid-2010s, but the manufacturing technique has advanced throughout the years. Ten years after its introduction of “4D” technology, adidas is now delivering a 3D-printed sneaker in the adidas Climacool. The laced version hit shelves recently, but we finally have a new colorway of the Climacool — Glory Grey.
The pair pictured here is the laced version of the Climacool, which adds a neoprene tongue and a lacing system to the forefoot. Outside of the black details on these aforementioned additions, the 3D-printed portions of the sneaker are all done in a single grey hue. The lattice structure that spans the upper forms the Three Stripes branding on the midfoot and allows for maximum breathability when on foot.
