Online critiques of Nike’s “lack of innovation” seem to have pushed the Beaverton-based sportswear giant into overdrive as it introduced one of the most avant-garde performance basketball silhouettes in recent memory with the GT Future. Originally debuted back during NBA All-Star 2025 by AJ Dybantsa and Wale, sneaker industry vet Frank Cooke and Wale have since teased the sneaker in a variety of colorways, but Nike has finally given us a full breakdown of the model during today’s SNKRS Showcase. Alongside the Fire colorway, a clean Metallic Silver option was previewed.
Unlike the primarily vibrant and loud color schemes, this pair sports a clean two-tone metallic silver and black look, opting for the latter of the two shades on the tongue, sockliner, Swoosh, and outsole. Metallic Silver hues envelop the outer shell of the sneaker, which is constructed with a synthetic Foamposite-like material that contains striations that add depth and texture. Black Swoosh logos, one on the lateral collar and another on the medial forefoot, help contrast the silver hues surrounding them.

Final details on the upper include the black lace set, vertical Swoosh on the tongue tag, and perforations on the medial midfoot for breathability. Inside, the sneaker contains a bootie construction akin to the Nike Foamposite and features Air Zoom, Zoom Strobel, and Cushlon 3.0 technology for its cushioning.
The Nike GT Future Metallic Silver will release on October 22, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $200.
