2025 marks the 30th anniversary of Sergio Lozano’s iconic Nike Air Max 95. Nike has celebrated this milestone with retros of OG colorways, collaborations, and fan-favorite returns. However, fans of the model have been begging for Nike to return to the original tooling setup. For the uninitiated, the Air unit in the original Air Max 95 was more prominent and larger than what we have been used to in recent years. Gradually, Nike shrunk the Air unit over the years, resulting in the smaller heel Air unit we have become used to.
Starting with the retro of the OG Neon colorway, Nike has begun to equip nearly all the Air Max 95 with this near-original tooling.
