Although Nike’s annual streetball tournament in New York City, NYvsNY, has already concluded, the brand is still looking to celebrate the event with sneakers. This year, The Swoosh dropped an Air Force 1 Low, Air Max Uptempo 95, Ja 2 Scratch, Ja 3, and a Jordan Luka .77 in celebration of NYvsNY, but images of a Ja Morant Nike Air Force 1 for the tournament have just appeared.
Ja Morant adds a clean black, white, and gum color palette to the AF1, coating most of the upper in a black nubuck. Tumbled nubuck is placed on the Swoosh, vamp, eyelets, and heel tab, providing some textural contrast. Rope laces replace the traditional flat cotton used on the Air Force 1, with the ropes rendered in white. Pops of cobalt blue appear on the Nike Air Force 1 logo along the tongue, the plastic Swoosh-laden lace dubrae, and on the NYvsNY logo on the heel tab. Inside sits more branding for the tournament. Finishing the design is the black midsole with cobalt bliss accents on the AIR text and a gum rubber outsole.
The Ja Morant x Nike Air Force 1 Low NYvsNY will release Fall 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125.
