Forty years of the Air Jordan signature sneaker series resulted in 40 different mainline models, beginning in 1985 when Michael Jordan laced up the Air Jordan 1. Jordan Brand officially debuted the Air Jordan 40 via a media event in NYC, which Sole Retriever was able to attend. At this preview, we got our hands on the Air Jordan 40 in three upcoming colorways.
Seen here in the Dusty Rose rendition, the pair swaps out the materials found on the original The Classic (tumbled leather) and the Blue Suede (suede) colorways for patent and pebbled leather. A tonal pink hue is applied to the toe and midfoot panels, while a more muted pink shade is applied to the pebbled leather on the vamp, eyestays, collar, and heel. Contrasting hits are found on the lace set and Jumpman logo, each done in black.
