Unfortunately, Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies are out of the NBA playoffs after getting swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Morant is still pushing forward in the off-season with new colorways of his Nike Ja 2 that will mark the final releases ahead of the Ja 3’s debut. One of these last colorways is a pair joining the NYvsNY collection.
Joining a capsule of sneakers for NYC’s streetball tournament, which includes an Air Force 1, Air Max Uptempo 95, and a Nike Ja 3, this Nike Ja 2 Scratch continues with the design motif seen on two other releases from Ja’s second model, the Ja 2 Scratch in a throwback Grizzlies color scheme and another part of the Black Label Collection for All-Star Weekend. Here, we see a high-energy volt green hue cover the mesh and leather paneling of the upper, taking on varying hues between the overlays and underlays.

Pops of hyper pink land on the Swoosh and Ja logos on the tongue, while the 12:AM text on the heel comes in a tonal hue. Though not visible in this early in-hand look, there may be branding details for Nike’s NYvsNY streetball tournament. Underfoot, the model has a barely volt foam midsole and outsole.
The Nike Ja 2 Scratch NYvsNY releases on June 13, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $130.
