Nike’s celebration of the NYvsNY streetball tournament, which the brand started in 2017, covers multiple sneaker models year in and year out. For 2025, The Swoosh has prepped a new rendition of the Air Force 1 Low, a Nike Ja 3, and a brand-new Air Max Uptempo 95 colorway, receiving official imagery.
It may seem a little odd that the Air Max Uptempo 95, which has fallen to the wayside in recent years, is getting a colorway honoring the NYC-based streetball tournament, but considering this year marks the sneaker's 30th birthday, it makes more sense. Unlike the AF1 in the collection, the pair opts for a two-tone white and black color palette for its upper, accented by blue and mint green pops.

White leather wraps around the toecap, mudguard, and Swoosh, with the base layer and top half of the silhouette in a sleek black. Tonal black hits land on the Swoosh and Air text on the lateral eyelets, while mint green marks the bungee pull tabs on the tongue and heel. Final details include the blue outlined Swoosh on the midfoot, a black and white foam midsole with exposed Air units, and a black and blue rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max Uptempo 95 NYvsNY will release in July 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $160.
