Kim Kardashian's SKIMS Partners With Nike to Create NikeSKIMS
Published
Last night, rumors spread across social media about a potential partnership between Kim Kardashian’s shapewear empire, SKIMS, and Nike. This turned out to be true as SKIMS is officially teaming up with Nike for a new collaborative line, NikeSKIMS.
Founded in 2019 by Kim Kardashian, Jens Grede, and Emma Grede, SKIMS has quickly become a powerhouse in the fashion industry. The brand is reshaping the way women think about underwear, shapewear, and loungewear. Kardashian’s frustration with the lack of inclusive, body-enhancing undergarments that cater to a wide range of sizes and skin tones inspired the brand.
Unlike traditional shapewear brands, SKIMS introduced ultra-soft, sculpting fabrics that move with the body rather than constrict it. The brand has seen significant success thanks to its minimalist aesthetic, inclusive sizing (XXS to 5X), and innovative fabric technology. Over the years, SKIMS has expanded beyond shapewear, entering loungewear, swimwear, and even adaptive clothing, always maintaining its core principles of inclusivity, fit, and innovation.

Of course, high-profile collaborations were only inevitable with such a recognizable figure at the helm and the success of inline products. Previously, SKIMS partnered with Fendi and The North Face for collaborative products and signed an official endorsement deal with the NBA and WNBA. With this new partnership with Nike, SKIMS is creating a full-fledged brand under the Nike, Inc. umbrella.
Combining Nike’s industry-leading athletic innovations and cutting-edge sports science with SKIMS’ signature sculpting and body-contouring expertise, the NikeSKIMS line aims to introduce an entirely new look to athleticwear, offering functional, stylish, and confidence-boosting designs for all women.
"Over the past five years, SKIMS has redefined the intimates and casual apparel landscape, championing inclusivity and confidence,” says Jens Grede, Co-Founder & CEO, SKIMS. “Now, by partnering with Nike, the undisputed leader in athletic performance and innovation, we're poised to create a new standard in the activewear market. This partnership will empower individuals to move with confidence and express themselves authentically, merging SKIMS' focus on body confidence and self-expression with Nike's relentless pursuit of athletic excellence."

The partnership will include training apparel, accessories, and even footwear. SKIMS' core mentality of making women feel powerful and confident will be ever-present in the NikeSKIMS Collection. Signature sculpting silhouettes are crafted to fit the body's natural curves while allowing unrestricted movement. Nike did not touch on what the footwear would look like or whether or not it was just collaborative colorways of existing Nike products.
Innovative technical fabrics provide a combination of breathability, durability, and flexibility, ensuring that the garments not only look good but also perform well during intense workouts. Additionally, the line will feature extended sizing, making it accessible to women of all shapes and sizes, reinforcing SKIMS’ long-standing commitment to inclusivity.
While the aesthetic leans toward minimalism and sophistication, every piece is engineered for function first. The goal is to provide a versatile, stylish, and high-performance wardrobe that meets the needs of modern women—whether they’re athletes, fitness enthusiasts, or simply looking for comfortable, flattering activewear for daily wear.

Unfortunately, we can't talk about SKIMS without mentioning Ye (FKA Kanye West), even though he has been going on a series of antisemitic and hate-filled rants on his social media pages. He was pivotal in the early years of his ex-wife's brand, helping it find its minimalist and earth-tone color palette, and to this day, he still owns a 5% stake in the business.
“We’re energized by the opportunity to build a new brand and shake things up for the next generation of athletes with NikeSKIMS,” says Heidi O’Neill, President of Consumer, Product & Brand, NIKE, Inc. “This partnership brings together the best of both brands and unlocks an incredible opportunity to disrupt the industry with our shared passion and commitment to innovation. We will invite even more athletes into sport and movement with product that makes them feel strong and sexy.”
NikeSKIMS will launch its debut collection in Spring 2025 through nike.com and select Nike stores across the US. Come 2026, we can expect to see NikeSKIMS go global, bringing the brand to additional markets and retail partners. Given the track record of both Nike and SKIMS in creating covetable, sell-out collections, NikeSKIMS is expected to make a massive impact on the fitness and fashion industries.
