The latter half of the ‘90s produced some of the best designs from Nike Sportswear, one of which has just returned after a years-long hiatus — the Air Zoom Spridion. OG renditions galore have hit shelves, like the Metallic Silver Sport Red, Concord, and Deep Royal Blue Yellow Strike, but Nike is also playing around with new color schemes for the sneaker.
Pictured here is the Barely Volt Hot Punch colorway of the Nike Air Zoom Spirdion, a non-OG release inspired by the late ‘90s and early 2000s color palettes. Essentially, Nike envisioned what an original sample lost to time would look like if unearthed today to inform its design for this brand-new color scheme. The bright and bold colors of the era shine through on the midfoot, and the Swoosh and nylon patch on the tongue are rendered in hot punch.
