Your average sneakerhead and the general public have grown tired of the Air Jordan 1, as the silhouette has struggled to sell out in most colorways in the last year. High production numbers coinciding with many releases are the main culprit here. To combat this, the number of Air Jordan 1s releasing in 2025 has been dramatically reduced from the original plans.
However, multiple releases are still slated to drop during the silhouette's 40th birthday, like the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High, the Black Toe Reimagined (delayed from Holiday 2024 to Spring 2025), the Bred ‘85 High, and the UNC Reimagined. A pair initially slated to release during Summer 2025, dubbed Self Expression, has been moved back to Fall 2025.
