Over Nike’s illustrious history, they’ve produced some of the most iconic performance running sneakers ever to hit the market. As the mesh runner craze continues to have a chokehold on fashion, The Swoosh has taken this opportunity to revive archival designs, recently relaunching the Zoom Spiridon line with the OG colorway hitting shelves in December 2024. After the two new “Cult Classic” colorways, Signal Blue and Metallic Silver Signal Blue, launch in the coming months, Nike will follow up with another original colorway from 1997, Concord.
Marking the first time this color has ever been retroed, the silhouette will come with the original colorblocking and construction seen on the pair that hit shelves 28 years ago. The open-spaced mesh upper is coated in white, matching the outline of the metallic silver Swoosh. Pops of concord begin on the nylon lace loops, the woven tongue label, and the pull tab on the heel, contrasting the metallic silver 3M piping of the upper and the white finish of the tongue and sockliner.
