We’re unofficially in a new era of sneakers. This “Post-Hype” era of sneakers has been defined by mesh runners, more niche brands gaining ground, comfort-first designs, and a fall-off in popularity for models like the Dunk Low. Fully diving into this shift requires a much longer write-up, but that’s all to say that pairs that once commanded insane aftermarket prices, like the Dunk Low Panda, have lost their allure. Even still, Nike is using this year to celebrate the model’s easy-to-wear black/white colorway, as this year marks the 40th anniversary of the Dunk silhouette.
To commemorate the Dunk’s 40th birthday, The Swoosh has prepped a slew of panda-themed Dunks. No, not a bunch of black/white colorways (though there are still quite a few), but pairs that incorporate actual pandas. Our first look at this collection came earlier in the year with the 40th Anniversary colorway, but since then, we’ve gotten looks at pairs that will come in a blind box and multiple other colorful variants using the same motifs.

Here, we see the traditional “Panda” color palette of black and white on a fuzzy suede Dunk Low. An added panda caricature is found on the lace set, while the heel and tongue tag feature frayed textiles extending out from the suede panel. Inside the tongue tag sits another reference to the panda caricature, while the look is finished with a white midsole and black outsole. Special packaging features panda stickers and instructions on how to convert the box into a display case/storage unit.
The Nike Dunk Low Panda-Monium will release Fall 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125.
