Tyrese Maxey made a huge splash in the 2024 NBA season as the Philadelphia 76ers' point guard made the All-Star team and earned himself Most Improved Player. When it comes to his footwear choices, Maxey has signed with New Balance, and they’ve used him to help debut new performance basketball models like the Hesi Low v2. Now, Maxey is set to get his own colorway of the aforementioned basketball sneaker and a lifestyle sneaker, the latter being the 1906R.
On the base of Maxey’s first 1906R sits a white canvas material, matching the white hues of the leather overlays wrapping around the toe, midfoot, and collar. These panels, sans the mudguard, come with golden details lining the interior, with this same design detail found on the outline of the blue N logo. These blue hues extend onto the nylon lace loops that host a cream lace set.

The rest of the upper retains the traditional 1906R look, including the 1906R text on the lateral heel, the lattice structure on the TPU heel counter, and NB logos on the tongue and heel tab. However, inside the sneaker is the only reference to Tyrese as his signature is found on the right shoe. Finishing the sneaker is the cream foam midsole with hits of lavender and blue in the forefoot and heel, as well as a tonal outsole.
The Tyrese Maxey x New Balance 1906R PE will release July 31, 2025, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
