The Las Vegas Aces are seeing through the Matrix. Led by 4-time MVP A’ja Wilson, the Aces went up 2-0 over the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA Finals over the weekend, holding strong to home court advantage with a huge 91-78 blowout that felt even more lopsided than the final score suggests. Amidst the Sunday night route, Aces guard Jewell Lloyd added nine points and seven rebounds in a new pair of Matrix-inspired Nike A’One player exclusives.

Rocking the first on-court A’One PEs we’ve seen that weren’t made for the MVP herself, Lloyd’s pair starts with a mix of black and Matrix green waves across the upper, but taps further into the movie’s aesthetic with an all-over print scroll of multi-colored letters like Neo sees when he cracks the code that makes up the computer-constructed world. Using its own code of sorts, the mix of letters that reference Jewell’s various career accolades turns into stripes of blue, yellow, and red across the entire shoe.

The Matrix green upper gives way to a black leather lace panel, with a black midsole to match. The A’ja logo on the tongue and signature on the heel both get the same green as the upper, with green added to the stability pod on the midsole as well.

Nike has been leaning into new colorways of the A’One heavily as the Aces look for another WNBA title and Wilson celebrates another MVP trophy, so while you can’t cop the Matrix-themed PE, you can definitely get in on the hype surrounding the WNBA’s GOAT (yeah, we said it).
