Jordan Release Calendar

The year of the Nike Air Max 95 continues. Sergio Lozano’s iconic Air Max design has been celebrated all throughout 2025 as the sneaker turned 30 this year, and that means we’ve been treated to retros of OGs and fan favorites, new collabs with outside partners, and plenty of new options on the sneaker. One pair many have been looking forward to is the Solar Red, which was one of the original releases back in 1995, but it appears Nike has plans to offer two different versions of the sneaker, much like the Bright Mandarin and Bright Mandarin 2.0 situation.
If you’re unfamiliar with what happened with the Bright Mandarin AM 95, Nike dropped two different versions of the sneaker with different branding details and slight changes to the color. One was more true to the 2011 version of the sneaker and featured the iconic PSI ratings on the outsole. The other opted for a darker orange and removed the PSI numbers on the outsole.

As for this second iteration of the Solar Red Air Max 95, Nike is again making slight tweaks to the model to differentiate it from the original. The pair that dropped in 1995 featured red lining on the tongue, a detail that is expected to remain on the other version of the Solar Red. However, this release will use a white lining on the tongue, something that has been seen before in the past on different retro releases of the pair. In 2018, Nike retroed the sneaker and dropped the white lined tongue version in the EU, while the US got the red-lined version.
Outside of the tongue lining, the pair retains the same grey gradient on the suede midfoot overlay, black toecap, white mesh netting, and solar red hits on the nylon lace loops. White details hit the lace set, tongue, and sockliner, while more solar red appears on the Swoosh on the collar. Down below sits a black foam midsole with the “big bubble” build present for the Air unit in the heel.
The Nike Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble Solar Red will be released October 10, 2025 through Nike SNKRS and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $190. We’re tracking a ton of different Air Max 95 releases on the Sole Retriever mobile app, which alerts you in real-time to restocks, raffles, releases, and more.
