$250 is a steep price to pay for sneakers, especially in today’s economic climate. However, New Balance can justify this with its Made In series, which recently debuted the latest model from the Flimby, UK, factory — the New Balance Allerdale. Inspired by outdoor hiking sneakers and the Allerdale region in the UK, the walking shoe has so far appeared in premium tumbled leather makeups like Brown and White. Now, NB is giving the sneaker a Brown Suede makeover.
The upper is fully covered in a uniform shade of brown, replacing leather with premium pigskin suede panels. This includes the mudguard, toebox, vamp, midfoot panel, collar, tongue, and heel. Contrasting the light brown are dark brown laces and D-ring eyelets, directly inspired by hiking boots.
