The tiny coastal village of Flimby, England, has been the home base of New Balance’s Made in UK factory for nearly forty years, producing some of the brand’s highest quality sneakers. One flagship sneaker produced in the UK is the 991, which received an update in the form of the 991v2 back in October 2023. Since then, the 991v2 has become the go-to model from Flimby, with the latest pair taking on a Grape Sorbet colorway.
Part of a two-pack of 991v2s, which includes the previously revealed Pink Mauve colorway, this Grape Sorbet colorway features a light green hue on its pigskin suede paneling. These overlays land along the mudguard, midfoot, collar, and heel, while the mesh base comes in a forest green hue. Grey overlays hit the toebox and tongue, the latter featuring New Balance Made in England text in white.
Metallic silver panels on the midfoot N, the vamp, the heel tab, and the lateral heel help finish the upper. The latter features 991 embroidered in white. Underfoot sits a two-tone grey and white foam midsole with FuelCell cushioning and hits of orange in the heel and forefoot. Finishing the design is the black and grey rubber outsole.
The New Balance 991v2 Made in UK Grape Sorbet releases July 31, 2025, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $250.
