As sports science continues to progress, athletes have discovered that comfort in the game is nice, but promoting active recovery off the playing field is just as important to lasting performance. The last few years have seen sneaker brands go all in on between-game rehab, and Nike’s last slip-on is crafted with a mind towards futuristic feats of energy restoration.
The Nike Mind 001 is a clog-style slip-on featuring branding from the Nike Mind Science Department. Constructed like a Cybertruck for your feet, the shoe debuts in a light smoke colorway that covers the molded foam clog, with perforations for air flow along the sidewall and top where a tongue would typically be. The star of the Mind 001 is the orange pods protruding from the sole of the shoe for targeted recovery help.

Nike made a splash in the sports recovery world earlier this year when it partnered with Hyperice on a wearable recovery boot, but with a $900 price tag. That model was made for professional athletes more than weekend warriors. Nike has also had success this year with its ReactX Rejuven8 line, bringing the one-piece molded clog trend to the Swoosh.
Beaverton hasn’t let out much info about the specific science behind the Mind 001, but with a brainiac name like that and a focus on post-play recovery, we’re expecting plenty of tech jargon in the official drop.
The Nike Mind 001 will be released Holiday 2025 through Nike and select retailers. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $90. To find out more about the future of recovery slides as soon as more info is available, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
