Kevin Durant Honors His Grandmother With B.A.D. KD 18 Colorway

Kevin Durant is all about family. The future Hall of Famer has spent his entire career shouting out his PG County, Maryland upbringing and giving credit to his mother, siblings, aunt Pearl, and grandmother for his success. After all, no KD career highlight tape is complete without his speech calling his mom the real MVP. KD’s family ties have always shown through in his Nike signature line, and with the season starting soon, a new KD 18 colorway pays tribute to his grandma, Barbara.

The KD 18 B.A.D. is a tribute shoe to Durant’s late grandmother, Barbara A. Davis. Clad in two tones of purple and hemp brown mesh, the upper features a light purple suede on the structural panels, with a deeper purple with an orange outline on the side panels that stretch up into lace loop digits. Tan mesh fills up the rest of the upper and the tongue, with pink hits on the KD tongue logo and small heel Swoosh.

KD’s most famous family-themed sneakers are the long-running pink Aunt Pearl colorways that raise breast cancer awareness, but the B.A.D. purple colorways have also spanned Durant’s signature line, including the KD 15, 16, and 17 over the past three years.

The Nike KD 18 B.A.D. will be released Holiday 2025 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $155.
