Nike KD 18 White University Red
The Nike KD 18 White University Red starts with a clean white upper across the mesh and support panels, with Houston Rockets red coming in on the outline of the stretched-out side panel digits, the lateral heel Swoosh, and the KD tongue logo. The speckled white midsole is a nice touch to break up the plain white upper, and a grey outsole matches the grey and red laces.
Durant’s 18th shoe has been a sleeper basketball hit this year, with a unique shape, tech-forward tooling with Zoom Air cushioning, and a good run of personalized inline colorways, PEs, and inclusions in packs. The main feature of the model, the midfoot cage, is taken from the Nike Air Terra Humara, a sneaker that was a hit in the DMV area during KD’s upbringing.
