Nike Basketball’s Immortalized Collection Honors LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker’s 2024 Olympic Gold Medal
Updated on •Published
It’s been nearly a year since the 2024 Summer Olympics took place in Paris, and during the games, Team USA Basketball proved its dominance once again. Both men’s and women’s teams won gold medals, the latter having won eight straight gold medals. For the men, we saw multiple signature athletes from Nike take the court in special Olympic-themed colorways that, at the time, were expected to remain player exclusives. However, Kicks Finder has reported that Nike Basketball is planning on dropping a collection of footwear from the 2024 Olympics to honor LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker.
Both LeBron James’ and Devin Booker’s signature models, the LeBron 22 and Nike Book 1, will release in two colorways. Both pairs were spotted on the feet of their respective athletes during the Olympics. LeBron’s pairs include the metallic gold and black colorway he wore during the gold medal-winning game and the iridescent blue color scheme he rocked after the win. Booker’s two colorways include a navy color scheme and a white-based option, both coming with safari-covered Swooshes on the midfoot.
Kevin Durant has moved on to a new model since the 2024 Olympics, which means Nike will release a new colorway of the KD 18 instead of retroing the KD 17. The pair he wore in the Olympics was technically released, albeit with some slight differences. Alongside the KD 18, we know that Durant’s KD 4 Gold Medal was getting a retro, which ties in perfectly with the Olympic celebration.
The colorway of the KD 18 features a primarily gold upper accented by navy blue hues. Metallic gold overlays take over the midfoot Air Terra Humara-inspired cage and overlays along the toe, collar, and tongue, while the mesh base come in a navy hue. Inside sits a custom insole with a statue of the Greek goddess Nike.

All three athletes will also have their sneakers bundled in packs: LeBron’s two LeBron 22s, Booker’s two Book 1s, and Durant’s KD 18 and KD 4. At this time, it’s unknown how the release will go. Nike could release all the pairs individually and then offer a limited number of the packs, but at this point, it’s a guessing game.
Nike Basketball’s Immortalized Collection was originally expected to release on August 8, 2025. However, the collection is delayed with no specific release date to report. LeBron did drop eight packs of the LeBron 22s on his Shop LeBron website for $510. The Book 1s are priced at $155 each and $310 as a pack, and the KD 18/KD 4 is priced at $235/$135 and together in a pack for $360.
