Kevin Durant is back in the Lone Star State. The NBA legend has left the Phoenix Suns in a blockbuster trade that sees him put on a Houston Rockets uniform, though this isn’t the first time he’s played for a Texas-based basketball squad. Before being drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics, KD was hitting the court for the Texas Longhorns. While we know the Nike KD 4 Longhorns is making a comeback later in the year, his latest signature sneaker, the Nike KD 18, has appeared in a Longhorns-friendly color scheme dubbed Rise.
Inspired by the team that helped shape Durant into the player he is today, the model features a clean mixture of pearl, orange, light bone, and light iron hues. Grey suede paneling wraps around the toe and back toward the eyelets and heel, partially obscured by the Air Terra Humara-inspired midfoot cage.

This reinforcement is done in a tonal cream hue that matches the mesh base, which is outlined in a Longhorn orange shade. More orange is present on the KD logo on the tongue, the outline of the brown Swoosh on the collar, and the center of the brown lace set. Finishing the sneaker is the tonal cream foam midsole featuring Zoom Air cushioning and a tonal grey rubber outsole.
The Nike KD 18 Rise will release on August 29, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $155.
