Nike Basketball unveiled a wide range of upcoming releases on the Nike SNKRS App Showcase earlier this month, including new colorways of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s latest signature sneaker, the Nike Giannis Freak 7. Following up on the debut Ignition colorway, the Giannis Freak 7 is expected to undergo a pink makeover dubbed Live Wire.
Bright pink hues cover the entire silhouette, which takes inspiration from traditional Greek sandals for its upper. The mesh portions present on the toe and midfoot are done in a light pink, while the reinforced neoprene portions wrapping around the collar and parts of the midfoot are rendered in a darker pink shade. Contrast is found on the Swoosh, which is reversed, coated in a burgundy shade, and outlined in white.

Another contrasting detail is found atop the tongue, with Giannis’ logo popping in a volt green shade. Inside, the sneaker comes with a full-length Cushlon 3.0 foam midsole, contained within a tonal pink foam carrier. Finishing the design is the light pink and cream marbled outsole, featuring Antetokounmpo spelled out on the lateral portion of the sole unit.
The Nike Giannis Freak 7 Live Wire will release August 22, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $115.
