You Can’t See this Camo Air Max Sunder

We keep looking at these new Sunders, but it’s hard to get them in focus. Blending into the background, Nike broke out the Realtree camo for this pair of Fall-ready Air Maxes, great for hiding from deer or your ex at the bar (okay, the camo probably won’t work for that, sorry).

The Nike Air Max Sunder Realtree Camo combines the colors of fall with the forest camo, mixing brown and orange accents into the white-background camouflage. The upper starts with the brown nubuck mudguard wrapping around the toe, side panels, and heel with the Sunder’s TPU plugs popping out in white. The neoprene shell above the mudguard is all Realtree, mixing graphics of trees, shrubs, and branches across a white background. The zipper tongue and sock liner are both brown, with bright hunter orange accents on the tongue tab, heel tab, and Nike branding on the toebox and upper. The midsole is cream interrupted by orange Zoom Air bubbles, all sitting on top of a brown outsole.

The Air Max Sunder first hit shelves in 1999, and after decades stuck in the archives, came back into production after a CDG collaboration in 2022. Over the past three years, the Sunder has dropped in a steady stream of GR colorways, and came up steadily in last year’s sneaker of the year conversation thanks to the Kids of Immigrants x Nike Sunder pack. The Sunder hype hasn’t been too heavy this year, but Nike has a Realtree Air Force 1 dropping alongside this one, and we could see the pack moving fast.

The Nike Air Max Sunder Realtree Camo will be released for Holiday 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is still TBD.
