Drew Allar has had a good week. The 21-year-old Penn State senior led the Nittany Lions to a 46-11 week one blowout against Nevada, and Nike is adding him to the long, illustrious roster of NIL athletes signed to The Swoosh.

Expected to be a high first-round pick in next year’s draft, Allar is starting the season in the spotlight, and the new Nike deal will only make it brighter. After a 13-3 season last year that ended in a 3-point loss at the Orange Bowl, Allar is looking to close out his Penn State career with a dominant 2025 season.

Penn State is a Nike-sponsored team, so Allar has already been wearing Swooshes his entire college career, but the new deal will put some of that Nike money in his pockets and hopefully inspire some new player exclusives and clean blue colorways.

Allar and Penn State have a relatively light schedule to start the season, but #6 Oregon and #1 Ohio State are lurking down the line, so the pressure will definitely be on Allar to step up. No matter how the season ends up, he’ll be in fresh cleats along the way. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for more updates on the latest happenings in the sneaker and streetwear world.
