Carmelo Anthony Wears Rarely Seen Air Jordan 3 Player Exclusive
Published
As Carmelo Anthony’s podcasting career takes off and becomes the place for hoopers, both current and former, to tell their truth, it’s also the spot where he drops a sneaker gem or two. Whether it’s telling stories about his own signature Melo line with Jordan Brand or behind-the-scenes shenanigans he gets into with fellow Jordan Brand athletes or the man himself, Anthony is not shy about letting people into his world.
This past weekend at NBA Summer League, Melo pulled up with his 7PM In Brooklyn mates Kazeem Famuyide and The Kid Mero to interview Lance Stephenson, who’s been making headlines of his own thanks to his recent one-on-one pay-per-view match against Michael Beasley. In between chatting about Born Ready’s career and doing bits like the Nasty Jersey Hall of Fame (shoutout to his mustard yellow Atlanta Hawks throwback look), Melo showed out with a rare gem: his very own player-exclusive Air Jordan 3.

First seen during an Architectural Digest video shoot in 2023, the PE is briefly featured as Melo showcases his extensive collection of worn Jordans (note: Melo loves to point out that he wears his Jordans, unlike other people who just like to collect them, aka #wearyourkicks). With primary colors of light blue, red, and white, it gives a Chicago flag vibe. The upper and elephant print mudguard and heel consist primarily of the baby blue hue with red accents on the eyelets and on the Jumpman logo on the tongue. The white midsole provides a contrasting look along with the red sole unit.

While Carmelo Anthony player exclusives have occasionally dropped at retail, including the Air Jordan 2 Melo and the recently released Air Jordan 12 Melo, there’s no word on a future release for this player exclusive.
