Detailed Look at the 2025 Air Jordan 3 Retro EYBL Sample

Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) helps many up-and-coming basketball stars hone their skills to get to the next level. While this is great for the sport, sneakerheads aren’t necessarily checking out the next generation of superstars, they’re looking at what they have on their feet. Each year, various Nike and Jordan Brand sneakers are made exclusively for those in attendance, this year already including the Nike Book 1, A’One, KD 18, Sabrina 3, Ja 3, and Air Jordan 40.
Off the court, Jordan Brand created a special pair of Air Jordan 3s for select EYBL attendees, pictured here in a colorway not too far off from the recently released Pure Money. Unlike the aforementioned retro AJ3, which was re-released earlier this month for the first time since its original release in 2007, this EYBL PE comes with vibrant purple accents on select portions of the upper. The primarily white aesthetic from the Pure Moneys is maintained, as seen on the tumbled leather and perforated leather paneling, while the elephant print overlays are done in a tan and cream finish.
Solid hits of purple are found on the TPU eyelets, the lace set, the Jumpman atop the black tongue, and the Jumpman Air hang tag. EYBL and Jumpman branding is split back on the heel tab between the two marbled purple panels. Finishing the design is the split branding on the insole, matching the marbled purple look, a white midsole with marbled purple on the heel, and a semi-translucent rubber outsole revealing this pattern.
Considering it’s made its way into the hands of a reseller, some pairs of the Air Jordan 3 Retro EYBL were likely gifted to friends and family, and select attendees of this year’s EYBL.
