New Balance 1000 Speed of Light Pack (Foot Locker Exclusive)

Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray made off-season headlines this week for being a good dude, after he sent a fan $600 to start a lawn mowing business. Karma must like kicks, because Murray is back, this time modeling a new pack of Foot Locker-exclusive New Balance 1000s. Hey, maybe Murray will send a pair of the fashion-forward dad shoes to his new lawn mowing buddy.

The Foot Locker-exclusive New Balance 1000 Speed of Light Pack features two colorways of the 1999 retro runner, one in a tan and pink Desert Clay and the other in a dark red and black Monarch Burgundy. Both uppers feature a bit of metallic shine, with the Monarch Burgundy colorway starting with a red wine toe that swoops around to the side panels and heel. Black mesh makes its way in between the shiny burgundy panels. The midsole is black with hits of burgundy in the forefoot, arch, and heel.

On the Desert Clay colorway, the shiny panels are switched to a tan color that’s nearly gold with the metallic tint, adding white mesh in between, and pink accents on the “N” logo and midsole cushioning.

Foot Locker’s partnership with New Balance has only strengthened over the last year as we continually see the duo link up for exclusive colorway drops. This includes a collection of WRPD Runners from October 2024, three NB 1000s back in February, the Saturated Pack of 550s and 9060s in March, and most recently, the Marvin Harrison Jr.-led Desert Heat Pack.

The New Balance 1000 Speed of Light Pack will be released September 25, 2025, exclusively through Foot Locker. Available in unisex and grade school sizing, the price is set at $150 for adult sizes and $105 for GS sizes.
