We live in an era of long-term collaborative relationships between sneaker brands and their fashion counterparts. Be it adidas x Kith, Vans x Engineered Garments, or Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike, the multi-year collab is standard practice these days. For New Balance and NYC staple Aime Leon Dore, the relationship goes a little deeper, with ALD founder Teddy Santis serving in an official role as NB’s Made in USA Creative Director. Even with plenty of inline work to do, Santis still finds time to show ALD some collab love.
The latest Aime Leon Dore x New Balance partnership comes on a pair of New Balance 471s in cream and tan. A new silhouette for 2025, the 471 is a slim, 70s-style runner that still carries a classic New Balance blend of suede and mesh. Seen in a leaked photo posted to Instagram this week, the ALD 471 features cream suede on the toe, heel, and extended lace protection panels, with tan canvas-looking mesh covering the rest of the upper. A dark green “N” logo pops off the side panel, with even more green visible on the heel counter.
We’ve already seen one preview of an upcoming Aime Leon Dore x New Balance collab by way of ALD’s Fall/Winter 2025 catalog, which featured a photo of a brown, cream, and red pair of 991s. In addition to the 471 and 991, this year has already seen a handful of ALD x NB collabs, including recent favorites like a pack of 860v2s and a water-shoe style MT10T.
So far, we’ve only seen one picture of the upcoming Aime Leon Dore x New Balance 471, so there’s not much info to go on, but we’ll keep you posted when we find out things like pricing and release date.
