Aime Leon Dore’s Fall/Winter 2025 Lookbook Teases New Balance 991 Made in UK Collab
Published
Aime Leon Dore and New Balance have one of the most symbiotic relationships in the sneaker and fashion space. The duo elevate one another and introduce the partner brand to an audience they wouldn’t otherwise reach. ALD’s Teddy Santis and his old-money-meets-streetwear style perfectly aligns with the traditional-yet-boundary-breaking ethos of New Balance. ALD has also played a pivotal role in introducing (and reintroducing) NB models into the market, like the recent RC56, 1000, and MT10T collections. Now, Santis’ label is set to work on the 991 Made in UK as part of ALD’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection.
The New Balance 991 Made in UK previously received makeovers from Aime Leon Dore as part of a two-pack first released in May 2022, marking their one and only time working with New Balance’s Flimby, UK, factory. The two pairs came in neutral hues; one in a grey, cream, and green mix, and the other swapping grey for tan.

As for their latest 991, ALD applies a contrasting color palette of brown, cream, and red. Premium pigskin suede in chocolate brown graces the mudguard, midfoot, and heel, while cream is used for the mesh base. Pops of red appear on the toebox and collar overlay, as well as an extra set of included laces.
Surprisingly, it’s been nearly two years since the last 991. In October 2023, after over 20 years on the market, NB introduced the world to an updated version. Since then, the 991v2 has been Flimby’s flagship sneaker, getting makeovers from a wide range of collaborators and launching in dozens of GR colorways.
The Aime Leon Dore x New Balance 991 Made in UK will be released as part of ALD’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection. As of this writing, the retail price has not been announced, but expect to pay the typical high prices found among ALD x NB Made In products.
