While most NBA athletes sign endorsement deals with major brands left and right, Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has been carving his path. Last year, he launched his brand, 741, blending his penchant for luxury and high-end design with performance-oriented features. Now, marking his first-ever brand deal, Brown has joined Team Oakely.

“This is my first ever brand partnership in my career, and that’s because I had a mission to only align with brands that mirrored my vision and values in every aspect—self-expression, style, and unity,” Brown said. “Oakley’s innovation and dedication to advancing sports and culture, while inspiring today’s youth, makes this partnership a powerful and meaningful move.”

Oakley’s basketball roots go back to the ’90s when some of the sport’s biggest legends trained at its Global Headquarters in Foothill Ranch, California. Now, nearly 50 years since its inception, Oakley is reaffirming its presence in the game with Brown.

Jaylen will collaborate closely with Oakley’s research, design, and development teams to reimagine sport-inspired apparel and eyewear. His collaboration will include special edition product launches tied to his performance brand, 741, while Oakley will become his exclusive eyewear sponsor. Throughout the current NBA season, Brown has been spotted rocking some of Oakley’s most iconic eyewear styles, from the early 2000s Over-The-Top frames to the modern Oakley Plantaris and Prescription eyewear.

Beyond performance and fashion, this partnership extends into philanthropy. Oakley will support Brown’s initiatives, including The XChange and 7uice Foundation, which focus on youth empowerment and cultural advocacy. Additionally, Brown will back the EssilorLuxottica OneSight Foundation to eliminate uncorrected poor vision in underserved communities worldwide.

“Basketball has always been part of our heritage—a spark for something bigger in culture and community,” said Caio Amato, Chief Marketing Officer at Oakley. “Jaylen is truly one of a kind—an athlete who shares our commitment to innovation and purpose that drove this partnership. Together, we’ll push boundaries and create projects that inspire the next generation in sports. Welcome to the family, Jaylen.”
