Even without a proper release (a four-month pre-order doesn’t count), the Nike GT Future is one of the hottest silhouettes from Nike in quite some time. The performance basketball model that will easily transition off the court was first seen during NBA All-Star Weekend, which just so happened to play host to a week-early release of the highly coveted retro of the Nike Air Foamposite One Galaxy. Obviously, with the GT Future pulling much of its design influence from the Foamposite family, it only made sense that Nike would apply one of its most famous graphic patterns to the Hyperflight and Foamposite-inspired sneaker.
Sole Retriever can report that in Summer 2026, the Nike GT Future will undergo a Galaxy makeover. The silhouette’s molded Foamposite upper will be covered in a purple-tinted galaxy print akin to past galactic-themed colorways from Nike Basketball. Contrasting the multi-color and vibrant print are solid hits of black on the tongue, sockliner, internal bootie, Swoosh, and outsole. Inside, the sneaker comes with performance-ready tech, including full-length Zoom Strobel, an Air Zoom unit in the forefoot, and full-length Cushlon 3.0 foam.
