Bad Bunny’s Red adidas Ballerina is Inspired by the Flamboyan Tree that Covers Puerto Rico

Bad Bunny puts on for Puerto Rico in everything he does. The global superstar has always shown love to PR, but this summer he skipped a US tour to throw a 10-weekend-long party in residency at Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, bringing the world home with him. Present in everything he does, that dedication to the island is carried through to Benito’s latest adidas colorway.
We first saw the Bad Bunny x adidas Ballerina Flamboyan on stage last month during the 21st show of the 30-night Coliseo residency, but now Sole Retriever can confirm that the sneaker will see a release next year. Covered in a combo of power red and vivid red with white accents, the Flamboyan Ballerina is inspired by the tree of the same name, an umbrella-shaped canopy of bright red flowers that covers the landscape of Puerto Rico. In Puerto Rican folklore, the flamboyan or flame tree is a symbol of hope, resilience, and the island’s unbreakable spirit.

Benito has been busy with adidas this year. In the past six months alone, Bad Bunny brought out new Ballerina colorways, Gazelles, slides, an Adiracer GT, an F1 collab, and teased a brand new BadBo 1.0 silhouette slated for next year.
The Bad Bunny x adidas Ballerina Flamboyan will be released May 2026 through adidas and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120. To stay up to date on every new Bad Bunny x adidas launch, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
