These aren’t sneakers, they’re trainers. Manchester-based streetwear brand Drama Call teamed up with adidas for a collaborative Superstar II that’s all about the number three. Bringing together the Three Stripes with Drama Call’s three stars logo, the black and cream Shell Toes debuted alongside a video project dedicated to the best things in life that come in packs of three.
Drama Call’s Superstar II combines three main materials on the upper, with premium soft leather across the side panels, patent leather on the Three Stripes and heel, plus ripstop fabric on the tongue. In addition to the cream leather and black patent leather, a third color is added with an icy blue outsole. Drama Call’s three-star logo is placed on the tongue, the outsole, and as a keychain charm dangling from the top lace loop. For extra measure, there are more custom stars added between the side panel stripes and on the shell toe.
Drama Call x adidas Superstar White Black
In classic UK fashion, the Drama Call x adidas collab will also feature a set of tracksuits in black and cream to complete the full roadman kit. Drama Call collaborated with adidas on an initial Superstar II earlier this year in black and blue like the colors of the Manchester Metrolink. Continuing that theme, the black and cream Superstar II comes with a custom box designed to look like a graffiti'd Metrolink train car.
