With the absence of adidas Yeezy, the German sportswear giant has had to lean on other partners recently, most notably Bad Bunny. The Puerto Rican reggaeton superstar is one of the biggest artists on the planet, and The Three Stripes recognizes this. Next up in the long-standing partnership is the launch of Benito’s very own signature sneaker, the adidas BadBo 1.0.
It's quite rare to see a non-athlete get a signature sneaker with a footwear brand, but a select few entertainers have been able to achieve this. This honor was recently bestowed upon Travis Scott, who launched a sneaker with Nike Sportswear and Jordan Brand, the Field Jaxx and Jumpman Jack, respectively.
As for Bad Bunny’s adidas BadBo 1.0, the model made a sly debut in multiple music videos supporting his latest album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, though it wasn’t confirmed to be his signature model when the shoe was first spotted. Sole Retriever can provide an exclusive look at an official rendering of the second colorway of the sneaker, dubbed Resilience.
The pair takes inspiration from the resilience of Bad Bunny and the people of Puerto Rico. More specifically, adidas looked to the strength of the island after Hurricane Maria, applying a clean white and grey color palette to the model.
Design influences aren’t made clear by adidas, but it’s quite obvious the sneaker takes cues from performance basketball. Multi-layered leather panels cover the mesh interior, with perforated cutouts reminiscent of the Air Jordan 6 hitting the midfoot. Trefoil branding on the lateral collar provides the only contrast to the grey and white look as the logo is rendered in adidas’ classic bluebird shade.
The adidas BadBo 1.0 Resilience will release Spring 2026 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
