One of the great things about the Air Jordan 1 Low is that it can literally be inspired by anything. In the four decades that this silhouette has been around, it’s borrowed moves from fine art to global street culture. And now, with the brand new Air Jordan 1 Low SE Crafty Sail W, it pays homage to the DIY movement that seems to be getting bigger and bigger by the minute.
If you feel like you’ve seen the Crafty Sail W before, you wouldn’t be entirely wrong. Last week, we got our first look at the Turquoise Stone, and it’s clear that both sneakers share similar design cues. Working on top of a creamy Sail leather base, this AJ1 is overlaid with Soft Pearl and Light Smoke Grey panels across the back and front, respectively. A Swoosh glides across the sidewalls, but instead of keeping it plain, it’s encrusted with hundreds of shiny crystals that look as though they’ve been glued on as part of a handmade art project.

This blinged-out aesthetic extends to the tongue, where several precious stones are placed, while the inner lining is finished in a velvety Silt Red fabric – the kind you’d expect inside an expensive jewelry box. And because this is still a basketball shoe at heart, the midsole is cushioned with Nike’s legendary Air technology, delivering lightweight comfort and all-day wearability whether you’re on or off the court.
The Air Jordan 1 Low SE Crafty Sail W will drop as part of a wider collection sometime in Fall 2025. It’ll be available via Nike and select global retailers exclusively in women’s sizing for $125.
