The Yu-Gi-Oh! x Nike Air Muscle 95 Pack Releases Fall 2025

Yu-Gi-Oh! and Nike are two of the most popular IPs worldwide. At the same time, Nike controls fashion, streetwear, and sportswear, and Yu-Gi-Oh! transcends anime, manga, trading cards, and pop culture. So, as the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG) celebrates its 25th Anniversary; the two brands have joined forces for Fall 2025.
Fans of the original manga may remember the character Katsuya Jonouchi, aka Joey Wheeler, wearing an unofficial Nike sneaker dubbed Air Muscle. This sneaker is a modified version of the classic Air Max 95, which first appeared in Volume 2 of the manga. It was renamed as the IP did not have the rights to the sneaker.
The Air Muscle was very expensive as it cost ¥100,000 (approx $673 USD today). Joey purchased a pair from a crooked salesman who hired Muscle Hunters to steal them back. By the end of the chapter, the sneakers remained in Joey's possession, but one pair had been damaged, something he considers a battle scar, tying the story together.
Since then, he has worn the sneaker throughout future issues, the television series, and TCG. In honor of this accolade, Sole Retriever can confirm the initial reports that Yu-Gi-Oh! and Nike have teamed up to release two Nike Air Muscle 95s for the first time.
The first colorway of the Yu-Gi-Oh!-themed Air Muscle 95 comes in white, wolf grey, dark smoke grey, and cool grey. The second pair comes in psychic blue, mystic navy, stone blue, and volt. So far, only images of the Psychic Blue pair have emerged, showcasing a gradient design featruing light blue hues near the top and darker blues toward the bottom.
Air Muscle text replaces the Air Max branding on the tongue tag, while the insole features Red-Eyes Blue Dragon and Yu-Gi-Oh! branding. Special packaging also features co-branded Yu-Gi-Oh! and Nike lgoos alongside a trading card.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! x Nike Air Muscle 95 Pack will be released in Fall 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. One pair will be exclusive to Japan, while another will be launched globally. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $210.
