Rolly Romero Beats Ryan Garcia While Wearing Custom Nike Air Mag Boots

In a stunning upset at the inaugural "Fatal Fury in Times Square" boxing event, Rolando "Rolly" Romero defeated Ryan Garcia by unanimous decision, all while donning custom-made Nike Air Mag-inspired boxing boots.
Romero's victory came with judges scoring the bout 115-112, 115-112, and 118-109 in his favor. He managed to knock Garcia down in the second round and maintained control throughout the fight. Adding to the spectacle, Romero entered the ring wearing custom Nike Air Mag boxing boots, inspired by the iconic self-lacing Nike shoes Marty McFly wears in Back to the Future Part II.
These boots, designed by Jose Coronado of Aztek Kustoms, take direct inspiration from the Air Mag, coming in a greyscale color scheme that features white and multi-color accents. Faux LED lights in green, yellow, and red are found on the lateral heel, while Nike Mag text lands on the heel. Unlike the actual pair, there is no forefoot strap, and the build itself is more akin to a traditional boxing boot.
As mentioned previously, the Nike Air Mag was originally featured in Back to the Future Part II and later was released to the public during two separate releases (and two separate versions) in 2011 and 2016. The latter of the two versions of the Nike Air Mag featured self-lacing technology, something Nike would experiment with across different models in the Adapt series, which has since been discontinued.
