Nike Golf ensures that every PGA tournament has apparel and footwear to accompany the event. So far, The Swoosh has crafted items for the Waste Management Open, Players Championship, and The Masters. Next up on the PGA Tour is the PGA Championship, taking place in Charlotte, North Carolina, from May 15-18. Nike Golf has crafted an Air Max Plus Golf to commemorate the event.
Coming coated in a gradient blue, which starts in a vibrant light blue at the base and turns into a deep navy as you move up, the silhouette retains key features from the traditional Air Max Plus. This includes the palm tree-inspired TPU overlays on the upper, coming in a white shade, and a mini Swoosh logo on the midfoot, rendered in navy and red. Solid white hues take over the plastic toecap and leather paneling of the mudguard and heel overlay.
Branding details along the tongue, with its font and “Golfast” text, lean into a race car aesthetic, pairing well with the custom insole. Here, we see a split red and blue design containing multiple Nike and Nike golf logos inspired by various motorsports logos and design motifs. Underfoot sits a white foam midsole with icy blue hues visible inside the Air units in the heel and forefoot, and an icy blue rubber outsole contains a spike-less traction pattern for the course.
The Nike Air Max Plus Golf PGA Championship releases on May 15, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $205.
