Air Jordan 32 Release Dates

The Air Jordan 32 was released in 2017 and led by designer Tate Kuerbis. The Air Jordan 32 was intended to pay homage to the Air Jordan 2 similarly to how the Air Jordan 31 references its thirty year predecessor. The modernized take on the Air Jordan 2 features new upgrades such as a Flyknit upper and FlightSpeed technology with a rigid, high collar. Explore some of the high-top and low-cut Air Jordan 32s here.

With its introduction in 2017, the Air Jordan 32 (XXXII) was unveiled with an air of familiarity yet carried a wave of innovation. Tinker Hatfield and his team dug into the archives and decided to take design cues from the Air Jordan 2, creating a unique fusion of heritage and modern tech that defies expectations.

The upper of the Air Jordan 32 is largely characterized by the innovative Flyknit material, marking the first time it was used in the Air Jordan line. This material allows for unparalleled flexibility and support, bringing comfort to an entirely new level. A hidden lacing system, coupled with flight speed technology, offers locked-in stability, making the shoe a perfect companion for explosive movements on the court.

Staying true to Jordan Brand's tradition of storytelling, the AJ 32 pays homage to MJ's second signature shoe, the AJ 2, which was produced in Italy. The Jordan 32 incorporates luxurious leather paneling and the distinctive reptile-inspired detailing of its predecessor. Highlighting its lineage, the first colorway was named "Rosso Corsa," or "Racing Red," a nod to Italian sports cars — a personal passion of Michael Jordan.

Historical allusions aside, the AJ 32 didn't compromise on performance. An articulated Zoom Air unit provided an unprecedented amount of responsiveness, making each stride as explosive as MJ's gameplay. It also added the carbon fiber FlightPlate, aimed to optimize the responsiveness of Zoom Air units, ensuring maximum performance on court.

Just like its forebears, the Air Jordan 32 has been worn by a multitude of professional players in their game, further imprinting its presence in the basketball world. Noteworthy colorways include the 'MJ Day', the 'Bred', and the 'Rosso Corsa'.

Originally retailing at $185, prices vary widely on the secondary market depending on the colorway and condition. Find all the Jordan 32's past and present on Sole Retriever today!
