Luka Doncic Release Dates
Debuting in September 2022, the Jordan Luka 1 is the first signature sneaker for NBA superstar Luka Doncic. A Jordan Brand athlete since 2019, Doncic became the sixth player to have a signature sneaker under JB. They were designed for the multidirectional play of Luka, the Jordan Luka 1 combines a new IsoPlate foot frame with a unique performance foam called Formula23.
Luka Dončić, the superstar guard for the Dallas Mavericks, signed a five-year, $75 million contract with Jordan Brand in 2019. He would become the sixth player in history to have his signature sneaker with Jordan Brand, with the debut of the Jordan Luka 1 in September 2022.
Before his signature sneaker was released, Luka wore the latest Air Jordan model annually, such as the Air Jordan 34, Air Jordan 35, and Air Jordan 36. He even received Player Exclusive editions for these models, a perk of being a Jordan Brand athlete. After three short years, it was time for the Jordan Luka 1 to take over.
The Jordan Luka 1's design combined a new IsoPlate foot frame with the debut of a new performance foam called Formula23. Its low-cut design, and unique colorways made the Jordan Luka 1 a hit on-and-off the court. In July 2023, the Jordan Luka 2 made its debut. Staying with a low-cut design, the Jordan Luka 2 features the same full-length Formula23 and IsoPlate as its predecessor, combined with a new medial Cushlon 3.0 wedge foam.
The Jordan Luka Doncic line began in 2022 with the debut of the Jordan Luka 1 and continues with the Jordan Luka 2, launched in July 2023. Retail pricing for each model in men's sizes ranges from $110-$140, respectively. Select pairs of each model came in full-family sizing as well.
