Nike running has been crushing it lately. With marathon season on the horizon, The Swoosh has been stacking soles as high as they can, dropping exclusive colorways across the world, and paying tribute to its waffled past. The Pegasus Premium debuted in January and has since dropped in over a dozen colorways for serious runners and sneakerheads alike. The latest colorway strips down the silhouette to its bare bones in black and silver.
The Nike Pegasus Premium SP Black Metallic Silver falls under Nike’s special products line (that’s what the SP stands for), with a colorway ready to blend in during the day and stand out all night. An all-black upper is broken up by a white tongue and white laces, with a metallic silver Swoosh and light blue tint hitting the full-foot airbag in the middle of the stacked ZoomX and ReactX foam sole.
The typical “AIR” branding and coordinates (which lead to Blue Ribbon Sports’ first retail location) on the Pegasus Premium are deleted from this pair, along with the heel tag and Zoom Air branding on the air bag and tongue logo, adding extra reflective fabric to the tongue tag instead of any branding. It’s possible this pair was designed with night runs in mind, when reflective safety is much more important than branding, but whatever the reason, there’s no denying how clean the blank slate aesthetic looks on the otherwise high-tech silhouette.
The Nike Pegasus Premium SP Black Metallic Silver will be released in Fall 2025 through select Nike retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $220.Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for the latest updates on drops, raffles, news, and more from the world of sneakers and streetwear.
