The running shoe industry is in an all-out race to see who can stack the highest sole to push the limits of shoe tech, increase cushion, and create a speed-fueling rocking motion. Nike has been piling soles higher in the Alphafly, Vaporfly, and Pegasus running lines, but the recently announced Vomero Premium is a step above, boasting the industry’s highest stack height.
The Vomero Premium Barely Green Volt takes one of Nike’s most famous colorways, toning down the bright green palette with a subtle seafoam green, black lateral side Swoosh, and a massive “AIR” logo dotted with volt and a barely visible white outline on both sides of the engineered mesh upper. The real star of the show is the massive 55mm sole, complete with ZoomX cushioning and two huge visible Zoom Air units. The Zoom Air gets most of the volt, going full neon in case your eyes weren’t already drawn to the bottom of the shoe.

We’ve seen a couple of colorways of the Vomero Premium so far, including debut colorways in purple and orange that hit shelves in October, followed by a women’s exclusive pink pair that also features volt Zoom Air bubbles. With a stack like that, we’re fully expecting the Vomero Premium to hit the ground running and sell out fast.
The Nike Vomero Premium Barely Green Volt will be released Holiday 2025 via Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $220.
