Sometimes you just want a sneaker that's not too basic but not too flashy. A sneaker that keeps it nice, clean, versatile, and wearable. A sneaker that's got a nice backstory and plenty of character. Oh, and a sneaker that isn't too expensive, either. If that sounds like a sneaker you're looking for, you better check out the brand new New Balance 1000 Grey Black.
To new school sneakerheads, the 1000 may seem like a fresh silhouette. It was only released in 2024, right? Well, not quite. Because OGs will know that the 1000 actually debuted back in 1999, and it was slightly reworked just in time for its 25th birthday. This pair doesn't stray too far from the original design. The base is made from technical mesh for breathability, and it's overlaid by wavy black leather across the lacing system and sidewalls. Speaking of which, you'll find a bold, rubberized "N" logo here, too.

Shifting your focus further down, you'll spot a grey mudguard that wraps around the entire outside of the 1000. Underfoot, the chunky midsole is infused with ABZORB cushioning for unrivaled comfort on long days, and it's also fitted with a Stability Web midfoot shank for optimal support during movement. All of this is then finished with a glossy "1000" badge that's stitched proudly onto the tongue.
Releasing sometime in 2025, the New Balance 1000 Grey Black will be available in unisex sizing via New Balance and select retailers both online and in-store. Want your best shot at copping?
