Though it may have seemed like a fad in the early part of the decade, New Balance has held a firm position in the footwear space thanks to archival re-releases, timely collaborations, and perfectly executed silhouettes that lean into current trends. The former of the three is how we received the New Balance 1000 in 2024, a vintage mesh runner from 1999 that saw no success during its initial run in the early 2000s. It’s become one of New Balance’s most popular models and has been worked on by just about every brand partner, with Shoe Palace being the latest to get an exclusive colorway of the sneaker.
Unlike JD Sports’ four-pack of New Balance 1000s, Shoe Palace’s version of the sneaker opts for a regal mix of gold, black, and red. Metallic gold is placed on the leather panels on the mudguard, midfoot, tongue, and heel. The split paneling on the midfoot reveals the black mesh base, which is also visible on the toebox and below the leather covering on the tongue.

Pops of red appear on the nylon lace loops, the piping of the midfoot N logo, portions of the internal mesh heel counter, and along the New Balance-branded tongue tag. Final details on the upper include 1000 embroidered on the lateral toe in black and red New Balance and 1000 text on the heel. Down below sits a cream ABZORB-cushioned foam midsole with pops of red near the heel and toe and a black rubber outsole. Also included with the sneaker is a spare set of green laces and a custom graphic on the insole.
The Shoe Palace-exclusive New Balance 1000 will release July 17, 2025, through Shoe Palace online and in-store. Available in men’s and GS sizing, the retail price is set at $150 and $105.
