A few weeks back, LeBron James took to social media to share one of his workout sessions ahead of the 2025-2026 NBA season. Of course, a new season means a new Nike LeBron sneaker, and James fortunately gave us all an early preview of his next sneaker, the Nike LeBron 23. While the blacked-out weartest sample gave us a solid idea of what the model would generally look like, a new Instagram story by James has revealed a LeBron 23 drenched in metallic gold details.

As mentioned before, the all-black weartest version of the LeBron 23 lacked any details or textures on the upper, which is now fully visible thanks to this first look. LeBron’s crown logo is thoughtfully integrated into the upper, with a black textile separating the bottom half (shaped like the logo) and the top half. The crown portion is finished in an iridescent metallic gold featuring a perforated leather material, while the top is an engineered mesh with TPU reinforcements, all in the same iridescent gold.

Solid black details hit the laces, tongue, and sockliner, while the tongue tag displays LeBron James branding in gold. Moving to the medial side, it appears the midfoot stability saddle introduced on the LeBron 22 has been carried over, here displaying LeBron’s crown logo. Cushioning technology remains a mystery at this time, but expect it to be packed with Nike’s most advanced tooling.

The Nike LeBron 23 is expected to debut in the coming months through Nike and select retailers online and in-store for $210. No word on whether this specific colorway will be hitting shelves, but we’ll keep you posted on all developments regarding the LeBron 23 and more on the Sole Retriever mobile app.
