JuJu Watkins Has Eight Nike LeBron NXT Gen Colorways Releasing Next Year

Thanks to the NCAA’s Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) policy, student-athletes can finally generate money during their collegiate careers from the commercial use of their personal brand. This has opened up new doors for players to earn extra cash and build brand relationships early in their careers. JuJu Watkins, a women’s basketball standout from USC, signed with Nike before even attending her first college class, and more recently signed a historic sneaker deal with the brand. Sources told us that she would become a “focal point” over the coming year, and that rings true with news that she’s set to receive eight colorways of the Nike LeBron NXT Gen.

For those unfamiliar, the LeBron NXXT Gen is one of two takedown series for LeBron James (the other being the Witness series). The model has launched in three versions so far: NXXT Gen, NXXT Gen AMPD, and NXXT Genisus. We can’t confirm if the version JuJu is getting next year is one of these three, though the sneaker will likely be an updated iteration of the NXXT Gen, considering the name change to NXT Gen.

JuJu has four colorways planned for launch in Spring 2026 and another four in Summer 2026. Spring will feature the Metallic Silver Light Crimson, Light Crimson Bright Crimson, Metallic Copper Black, and Light Photo Blue Black colorways. For Summer, we have the Muslin Gelati, White Black, Stadium Green Light Menta, and Merlot Metallic Silver renditions. As of this writing, there are not yet any images of the pairs.

With this, JuJu will become the second NCAA player to have their player exclusive Nike sneaker released to the public. Last year, Paige Bueckers made history when her Nike GT Hustle 3 released during her time at UCONN.

The JuJu Watkins x Nike LeBron NXT Gen Spring/Summer 2026 collection will be released throughout the first half of 2026 via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $170 for seven pairs, with one “Premium” version priced at $180.
