Sergio Lozano’s Nike Air Max 95 has remained a staple in Nike’s Air Max family for the last 30 years, but 2025 marked a major milestone for the sneaker. Aside from the fact that it turned 30 years old, the sneaker was updated to go back to the “big bubble” Air unit in the heel that was present on the AM 95 during its original run in the mid-to-late ‘90s. With that, plenty of original and fan-favorite releases have been reintroduced in this updated build, including the Neon and Solar Red renditions. The former of the two was also released in a “Reverse” colorway that drew inspiration from a sketch done by Lozano during the development of the sneaker. While it was fairly limited, next year we’ll have a shot at copping a new flipped version of the Solar Red colorway.
The Solar Red Air Max 95 follows the same greyscale gradient on the Neon variant, and this Reverse Solar Red will also closely align with the Reverse Neon that dropped exclusively at the MoMA. Starting with darker hues on the top half, black details land on the toecap, mesh netting, tongue, and sockliner. Lighter greys and eventually whites land on the suede paneling of the midfoot, transitioning into a solid white once you reach the midsole. Solar red accents appear on the nylon lace loops, the Swoosh on the collar, Air Max branding on the tongue, and inside the Air units of the midsole.
