When we look back at the best years of the Air Max 95, 2025 will certainly be a contender. This year marked the 30th anniversary of Sergio Lozano’s human anatomy-inspired Nike shoe, and The Swoosh made sure to bring out all the stops. Included were retros of OG colorways, collabs with new partners, and tons of GR renditions.
Another year where the model had hit after hit was 2015, which featured 20th anniversary celebrations. One pair we all fondly remember was the Greedy, which featured a “What The” style colorblocking using details from a variety of iconic colorways. Well… even if it didn’t drop in time for its 10th birthday, we’ll definitely settle for a retro next year.
The 2026 retro of the Nike Air Max 95 Greedy will be nearly 1:1 with the 2015 release. The only difference? The colorway will not feature the “big bubble” build used on virtually all Air Max 95s now. Back in 1995, the original AM 95s featured a larger Air unit in the heel, but over time, this shrunk down. This year marked the return of the bigger Air bag, and clearly it’s not going away like the Air Max 1’s “big bubble” treatment.
